Making a Fried Egg
Many of you probably already know how to make a fried egg, but here is a simplified set of instructions to make one without fail. (By the way, if you don't think that you can make one on your own, now would be a great time to get a therapist.)
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
- teaspoon of any kind of vegetable oil or butter
-
Directions
- Coat a preheated pan with the teaspoon of butter or oil.
- Crack the egg into the pan gently. Make sure it drops at a small distance so the yolk does not crack, unless you prefer it that way.
- Let it heat up for about 30 seconds until the bottom solidifies and turns to a whitish brown color. Then is when you shud flip gently, or you could just not flip it and turn the heat down and let it cook slowly to make a nice sunny side up.
- Otherwise, flip the egg to encase the yolk. Let it cook for another 40 seconds, this ensures the yolk is nice and runny on the inside with the crispy white layer encasing it.
- This is the right time to put a tiny pinch of salt on the egg.
- Put it on a plate and bon appetit.
